My name is Diana, and I have been with the Learning Disabilities Association of NYC since I was a senior in high school. I am now a college student in LaGuardia Community College and still attending the LDANYC work site because it helps me with some of my college courses and LDANYC makes sure I understand the material. I love the program because it allows people like me to gain confidence in school and a lot of patience in getting through hard subjects. The program is the best program to have because not a lot of people with disabilities have access to a program that can help with school and finding a job. It’s not easy to have a learning disability, but having this program makes me appreciate having the disability because I have a different style of learning and makes it fun for me to understand certain subjects.  Including the amazing staff at LDANYC that puts the time and energy to help students with their goals; Sully Diaz is a good person because she will go out of her way to help students achieve. I am grateful to be a part of LDANYC’s program, and glad that the program has helped me throughout the years.  If it were not for LDANYC, I would not be in college or passing my college courses.
