One of our clients, Domingo Rodriguez, shares about his experience at LDA NYC:

The first day I called the LDA program I spoke to a guy named Jamie and I remember the first conversation we had and it makes me laugh till this day, I remember when I told him that I was on the website and he told me to get off of it and at first I didn’t get it but then I started to laugh because I got that he was joking around. When I first set foot into the program I was at ease and I felt comfortable. That day I spoke to a woman named Sully and she was so nice to me I just felt loved. I have been to, to many programs and they treated me like I was a nobody like I was never going to make it in life but here I am a somebody and I will never take that for granted ever again. When Jamie found out I had a culinary certificate he started talking about food and my life and it felt good. There are two other people I didn’t mention and that is Lenin and Briel who are so heartwarming. Lenin helped me get a job at the Casino in Queens and I can never thank him enough. Briel is so sweet you can talk to her about anything I love that about her. This place feels like a home to me and I feel like I belong here and that makes me feel so happy and open minded.
